OpenUI
From Thesys
Lets an agent answer with a real interface, built from your own components, instead of a wall of text.
- Best for
- Developers building agent apps who want charts, forms and buttons rendered from model output.
- Pricing hint
- Free and open source under the MIT licence.
OpenUI is an open-source generative UI framework: the model writes a compact UI language and the renderer draws it with components you register. Version 1.0 of the React language package adds custom functions and actions and library.extend. Vue, Svelte and Angular packages remain on 0.4.
Where it fits
- Uses your own component library.
- MIT licence, active repository.
Where it does not
- 1.0 language features need the React renderer for now.
- Another layer to learn between model and UI.

Others in Vibe coding
- Claude — The best default for long documents and careful agent-style work. Easier to steer than most chats, and less of a do-everything platform than ChatGPT.
- Cursor — The editor most people mean by vibe coding: you describe the change, it edits the repo, and you review the diff.
- GitHub Copilot — The lowest-friction assistant if you already live in VS Code, Visual Studio, or a JetBrains IDE and on GitHub. Strong inline completions; the agent mode follows Cursor rather than leading it.
- v0 — The fastest way to get a React and Tailwind interface from a prompt, tied to the Vercel stack. A weak choice for backend logic or a design system it has not seen.
