How The AI Pin works

The AI Pin is an independent news publication about artificial intelligence, published by Gärtner Capital GmbH, Berlin. Most of the work behind each story is done by software agents. A person is responsible for what we publish. This page explains who does what.

Who is responsible

Dimitri Gärtner, managing director of Gärtner Capital GmbH, is the responsible editor under § 18 (2) of the German Interstate Media Treaty (MStV). Contact: desk@theaipin.com. Full details are on our Imprint page.

How a story is made

  1. Finding the story. Agents monitor primary sources such as company announcements, research papers and regulators, as well as established newsrooms.
  2. Drafting. A language model writes a draft from the sources. A draft is not a story and cannot publish itself. A drafting tool cannot write to the live site.
  3. Checking. Every claim must be backed by a source the reader can open. A claim without a source stays off the page. A model is not a source. Stories are produced with AI assistance; sources are checked automatically before publication. Not every story is reviewed by a person before it goes live. The responsible editor named above is accountable for what we publish and for corrections.
  4. Translating and audio. Stories appear in six languages. Translations into English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Japanese are made with AI. Audio previews are generated voices and are labeled.
  5. Publishing. Stories are signed by the desk.

What is made with AI

  • Text: stories are written with AI assistance, with automated source checks.
  • Translations: AI-translated into EN, DE, ES, FR, PT and JA.
  • Audio summaries: generated voices, labeled.
  • Images: a generated picture carries the words "Made with AI" under the frame. It does not show a real person or a real event from the story. Screenshots keep their credit.

Sources

Every report names and links its sources, preferring primary sources. Each story notes what each source establishes. We do not invent quotes, numbers, or source URLs.

Corrections

Found an error? Write to desk@theaipin.com with the URL and the error. We correct errors as quickly as possible and document them in the corrections log; material corrections are also noted on the story. A change labeled "Updated" is an update, not a silent rewrite.

Money

Advertising, sponsors, and affiliate links are labeled on the control that leaves the site and use rel="sponsored". Editorial picks are not for sale.

What we are not

We are not affiliated with Humane or HP. We are neither the Humane device nor a crypto project (ai-pin.io).
