Apple announced HomeView on October 13. It is a home device with a 7-inch Liquid Retina display for music, FaceTime, home monitoring, and hands-free control. Apple's store lists it at $299, with pre-orders open and availability starting November 13.
Apple said HomeView recognizes people by their faces, so each person can reach their own Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, Reminders, and Find My. It includes Siri AI, which Apple calls a new version of Siri. Apple said answers that use someone's own context, such as messages and calendar, need a paired iPhone or iPad that can run Apple Intelligence. Siri AI on HomeView starts in English.
