Legato a una fonte citata. Non segnato come verificato. Physical Intelligence: Frontier models for every robot, announcing our API beta
The news
Physical Intelligence launched the beta of its Pi API on October 13. Robotics teams can upload their own robot data, fine-tune Physical Intelligence's foundation models on managed infrastructure and run the resulting model on their robots through a hosted inference gateway, the company said.
Why it matters
Most robotics teams cannot afford to train a foundation model from scratch. An API turns the model into infrastructure, the way language model APIs did for software.
The details
Access is through a waitlist with onboarding in batches. Pricing and technical details such as endpoints have not been published.
The launch comes as robotics and physical-AI startups have raised nearly 48 billion dollars so far in 2026, according to PitchBook data cited by the Financial Times, with much of it spent on collecting real-world manipulation data.
What we could not check
- Pricing is undisclosed.
- We have not tested the API; partner use cases come from reporting.
